As of August 6, 2010, the USCIS reported that 28,500 (out of 65,000) regular H-1B cap has been used. For master degree holders, 11,800 (out of 20,000) visa numbers have been used. Usage has been picking up lately. It is advisable to file your H-1B petition as soon as possible.
