Employment Filing Date Chart not Adopted by USCIS in December

Regarding the December 2015 Visa Bulletin, USCIS announced that only family-based petitions may use the Dates for Filing Visa Applications chart for December 2015.   Employment-based petitions must use the Application Final Action Dates chart in the Department of State Visa Bulletin.

It means that applicants for adjustment of status (I-485) in December must follow the traditional or old chart, which is usually "slower", when determining their priority dates.

USCIS has decided that it will decide, on a month-to-month basis, whether it will adopt the State Department's Filing Date Chart in the monthly visa bulletin based on visa supply and usage.
