November 2016 Visa Bulletin: EB-2 China /India, EB-3 Philippines Advance




In the November Visa Bulletin, employment-based visa categories continue to advance. EB-2 India advances 9.5 months to 11/01/2007.  EB-2 China moves forward by 5 months to 7/15/2012. EB-3 China moves forward by three months to 04/15/2013 while EB-3 Philippines advances 4 months to 04/01/2011.  Most family-based visa categories advance moderately.

Adjustment of Status

The following are the USCIS instructions regarding the use of the above State Department visa bulletin for filing the I-485 adjustment of status application:

For Family-Sponsored Filings:
You must use the Dates for Filing Family-Sponsored Visa Applications chart in the Department of State Visa Bulletin for November 2016.

For Employment-Based 1st through 4th Preference Filings:
You must use the Dates for Filing of Employment Based Visa Applications chart in the Department of State Visa Bulletin for November 2016.

For Employment-Based 5th Preference Filings:
You must use the Final Action Dates chart in the Department of State Visa Bulletin for November 2016. Please see more explanation below.
