October 2022 Visa Bulletin: Major Retrogression in EB2 India; EB3 India/EB2 & EB3 China Advance

                                 

As predicted, all employment-based visas for the First and Second Preference (EB1 and EB2) categories were exhausted as of 09/06/2022 for 2022 fiscal year.

In October's visa bulletin, the first one for fiscal year 2023, the final action dates of the family-based categories stay the same (F2A remain current for all countries). 

As for employment-based categories, there are major movements in October:

EB1 all countries remain current

EB2 all countries remain current, except India and China. EB2 India retrogresses almost 32 months to April 1, 2012.  EB2 China advance 9 weeks to June 8, 2019

EB3 India advances 6 weeks to April 1, 2012.  EB3 China advances 7 weeks to June 15, 2018.  EB3/Other workers advance for all countries

2A: The 2 “A” preference is for Spouses and Children (under 21 & unmarried) of LPR's.
2B: The 2 “B” Preference is for Unmarried Sons and Daughters (21 or older) of LPR's.
3rd: Married Sons and Daughters of Citizens (about 23,400 per year)
4th: Brothers and Sisters of Adult Citizens. (about 65,000 per year)

5th: Employment Creation (Investors)
